Using a bemo from Ngurah Rai to Ubud is not a viable option these days. It can be done, but you'll have to get to Jl. Legian in Kuta and make at least two transfers. Bemos are pretty uncommon (not like they used to be) in the Ubud area these days. You'll find most of them operating only in the Denpasar area. The Perama tour shuttle bus is OK, but again, you'll have to get to Kuta first. The cost from Kuta to Ubud on the Perama shuttle is 50K. It only departs from Kuta to Ubud four times a day.
A pre-paid taxi direct from the airport to Ubud is 195K...about $20 US and still the most convenient and direct option these days.

If you can reach the "bemo corner" in Kuta here http://goo.gl/maps/JUbUaThere are daily mini-buses to Ubud for around 50,000 rupiah. They are offered by those little "tourism information" kiosks. They have mini-buses that go all over the island.
Not ultra-cheap, but still good.
Also, pretty convenient, more so than any bemo.

If you have a place to stay in Ubud, ask them if they will pick you up.Often there is a member of the family (or staff) who will do that..maybe charging you less than the taxi fare (last time I think I paid 170k).If not, then the taxi..unless you have a LOT more time than money ;-)

The going rate for private drivers in Ubud for a an airport pick up or drop off is 250K. Only the more expensive four and five star resorts will include airport transfers in their room rates.7
Hey guys.........I thought Perama did a pickup/dropoff at the airport on the way to Kuta?????????10
You can book a taxi, a private driver, or a tour company like Perama in advance to pick you up at the airport. You can google Ngurah Rai taxi or Perama tours to arrange this, or by using the e-mail address of any private Balinese drivers you may know or have recommended to you.If one does this they'll find their driver right outside the terminal exit holding up a small sign with their name on it.
However, your alternate is the best choice as there are always plenty of taxi drivers on hand at the airport...peak season or low season, day or night.
