4-Night Side Trip off of St. Lucia?

Several friends and I will be traveling to St. Lucia January 27-February 4th and would like to do a 4-night side trip to a neighboring island. My boyfriend seems to think St. Vincent is the way to go, while I feel Dominica would be easier - in terms of getting there, where to stay, etc. I'm quite overwhelmed with all of our options and would love if someone could offer their input on what they think is best.

We are looking for sailing, hiking, ziplining, waterfalls, great beaches, etc. Ideally we would like to go to Canouan but I feel that is too difficult to get to with such limited time.

Does anyone have any suggestions for us for a 4-night trip?? Greatly appreciated! Thanks!

what about martinique. it's st. lucia's neighbour, you can get fast ferries over to it and the fact that it's french will give you a slighly different culture

You'll be staying around 8 full days in St. Lucia, so why going to another island? Sailing, hiking, ziplining, waterfalls and great beaches are exactly what St. Lucia can offer.

I agree with both above posters

On one hand I found St Lucia has plenty to offer for 8 days. I was there a week and had the feeling I could have stayed several days more doing different things without a problem.

If you still decide to go to another island then Martinique, being french caribbean, is a good option. And you don't need to fly what makes things easier

Personally I'd stay in SL and squeeze it as much as possible

Thank you for the input, everyone. My boyfriend went ahead and booked flights to St. Vincent the same night we arrive - so we will be sailing St. Vincent and the Grenadines for 3 days, then returning to St. Lucia for the remaining time. I hope this isn't too jam-packed! I'll let you know how it goes. :)
