Travelling to Cambodia from Laos

My boyfriend and I are going to Laos on Sunday from Chang Mai we are then planning to go to Cambodia on the 17th November. I am wondering how we would travel down to Cambodia. I have checked flights but they are slightly expensive.

Any info would be appreciated :)

Thanks

Carly

Bus. LP to VTE, maybe stop at VV. Then night bus from VTE to Pakse. Then stop at 4,000 islands and then over border into Cambodia, I would stop at Kratie.

Wont leave you much time to see anything with distances being long and bus travel slow.

Luang Prabang, Vientiane, Vang Vieng. LP is a gorgeous town and worth a visit. Bus travel between countries is very cheap but will take a while. Good to stop off at places en route to break up the journey. x

LP to VTE is about 10 hours by bus. VTE to VV is about 4 hours, VV to LP is 6 hours. VTE to Pakse is 10 hours by night bus, longer by day bus.
