#45 The immigration law is that it has to be confirned ticket. A confirmed ticket could be a booking on cruise liner or the Orient Express train , but for all intensive purposes it means airline ticket .I'm afraid there is no point in discussing this further with you when you cannot even grasp the basic facts. Not only that but you seem in denial when it comes to change, things change constantly. The current immigration requirement, as used by airline staff, states:
"visitors who are visa exempt are required to hold documents for their next destination".
This functions on a daily basis for thousands upon thousands of visitors to Thailand (nationality appropriate), if it doesn't work for you then maybe the problem is not with the airline.

Straight from the horse's mouth:ENTRY / EXIT REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS: If you are a U.S. citizen tourist staying for fewer than 30 days, you do not require a visa, but your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your entry into Thailand. You may be asked to show an onward/return ticket.

As I understand it you claim you were denied boarding in Madrid 4 years ago but then not really because you got on the plane. You then were denied boarding to China and then to Japan, on both occasions for not having an onward ticket. How is any of this relevant to boarding a flight to Thailand today ? This illustrates perfectly the scaremongering going on regarding flights to Thailand by people who quite honestly simply do not know what they are talking about. I really don't need to say any more at all, thanks arraina. ;-)

The current immigration requirement is that confirmed onward ticket is required for entry without visa . Thats the rule now , it was the rule in 2007 and it was the rule in 1995 and before that as well . Don't give me that nonsense about things changing constantly there has been change in rules regarding getting 15 days if arriving by land etc, but as far as onward tickets its the same same same as ever.

Yes you do , I agree with Sjaak that you need to quote actual passage of Thai immigration law that indicates there has been any watering down of the ticket out rule.
