israel/jordan visa

hi i am currently in Israel and will be shortly crrossing the border into Jordan at the southern border i will then spend a short period of time in jordan before i cross back into Israel again via the southern border. my question is can i use the same visa to cross into jordan again a week or so later via Jeruselem . hence not having to go Tel Aviv to the embassy to get a visa . i think the visa lasts for 3 months is this correct and is it for multiple entries .

i am a uk citizen

thank you in advance

Are you planning to buy your initial Jordanian visa at the southern (Aqaba) border? This is valid for three months, but single entry only, so even if you only stay in Jordan for a day the visa expires (is used up) as soon as you leave Jordan.

I realize you've probably thought of this, but is there any way you could delay your trip to Jordan so you could travel from Petra to Amman and not have to return to Israel? I ask because the visa issue is not the only one you face. Additionally, the way you're doing it you'll have to pay two Israel exit fees (the one at the Bridge is significantly more than the one at Aqaba), a Jordanian exit fee, the trip back to Jerusalem and possibly the expense of the visa.

I don't know the answer to your visa question. The Jordanian entrance visa you recieve at the southern border is free and may be valid at that border only. Again, that's only a guess.

Good luck.
