Real Madrid Resort IslandHi all,
Just recently heard about Real Madrid football club's plans to open Real Madrid Resort Island, in Ras Al Khaimah, for January 2015. I know how much this club has become an integral part of Madrid's identity. Any one care to venture how this international move will affect the city's support of the team/their sense of ownership over it?

1I'm sure nobody will give a sh*t. 99.99% of Real Madrid fans will never set foot on this resort, and people in Spain have much bigger things to worry about.

2The megalomania of clubs, if I'm right R.M. has a € 170 million debt.
To a bank I assume.
Banks are (almost) collapsing in Spain.
They need money from the Government.
The government has no money.
The last resort: international organisations??? (IMF, ESM)
And at the end of the chain: you and me.
(BTW. Spain will try to avoid asking for help because of the conditions: prefer to be boss in own belly).
Disclaimer: I failed for my master study intern. economy.

I know how much this club has become an integral part of Madrid's identity.
I don't know if followers of other clubs of Madrid (e.g.: Atlético de Madrid or Rayo Vallecano) or those who don't care about soccer will agree with that statement.
