How do I go about getting from Phu Quoc island into Cambodia- cheapest/safest way, and how do visas usually work between Vietnam and Cambodia? Am I best to go from Phu Quoc back to HCMC then into Cambodia?
Also, any suggested routes for Cambodia would be much appreciated? I would like to explore some of the south coast beaches, Phnom Penh, Mondulkiri Province, maybe Kratie and then finishing off at Siem Reap before continuing to Bangkok.
Any help would be appreciated :) Thanks ...

4Hummm. I am a bit confused. 1. Are you going from Vietnam to Thailand via Cambodia and then back to Vietnam if your last stop is HCM.
Or 2. are you arriving in Vietnam with the final place being in HCM and then going to Cambodia and Thailand
I think it is 2. If so
HCM to Phu Quoc. Phu Quoc to Ha Tien. Cross the border to Cambodia - Kep and from there north if you want to got to PNH and and Siem Reap or just west if you want to stay along the coast and then into Thailand via Koh Kong

5Yes 2. Thanks for that!! Is Cambodia safe enough to travel solo (I'm a 20 year old male), I have heard a lot of bad things about it, and some people are telling me to avoid it altogether.

6I dont know what bad things people are telling you about Cambodia. It does have a terrible history with regard to Pol Pot and the genocide of Cambodian people. Is that a danger to you personally? No. There are many wonderful things about Cambodian poeple and Cambodia. Compared to Vietnam, in my opinion, the country is not so developed or sophisticated and generally there is less 'sell, sell" pressure.
My thoughts would be that safety in Cambodia is little different to Vietnam or Thailand. However your expectations should be different about the effciency of transport, etc.
