weather in February

Hi, can anybody tell what the weather is like in Bolivia in February? I would like to go there next Feb, but I heard it rains a lot around that time a year.
Thanks!

It rains, but not a lot. The problem that may be is that you get delayed because of roads getting muddy and impassable. I travelled in Bolivia end Jan/Feb and it was great.
You might fit in Oruro Carnaval in that time. Highly recommended.

take 1 or 2 spare days for any case but not a real problem. Once I got serious problems with heavy rains in Bolivia in july which is the dry season

I was in Bolivia in March and had no rain delays (or rain)......................however delays due to civil unrest are a common traveller warning.

This year I travelled in Bolivia for about 5-6 weeks from the middle of january till the end of february. Like written before I also had a regular period of rain but not that much and it did not influence my travelling much. The main roads were quite good, exept the road from La Paz to Rurre but for that leg I took a plane.
If you want to visit the carnaval in Oruro (highly recommended) it's wise to book a room very soon.

Loved Bolivia, a very beautiful country and also very cheap.

it is impossible to predict and of course it depends on which part of the country you are in but "usually" there is regular rain in Feb but not enough to cause severe problems. Problem "usually" increase in March/April after there has been plenty of rain and water levels rise and roads have become more and more damage.

That you should get some rain most days in Feb , often it is at the same time each day say 4pm and just for an hour or so.

it is getting harder to predict though each year , as is the weather throughout the world of course. I would let it stop you from travelling Bolivia in Feb though as on main tourist routes it is unlikely to cause you too many problems.. As beerfree suggests, schedule some "spare" days into you travelling in case of problems , weather related or protest related - always good advice any time of the year in Bolivia.
