Bangkok - One night before Laos

Hello!

I'm traveling to Laos towards the end of December and am staying one night in Bangkok before I catch my flight at 2PM the next day. I get in early evening and would like to see a little bit of Bangkok before I go. I'll be back for a few days before I return to the States but now I'm interested, where to stay?

I'm looking for something somewhat clean, safe, reasonably priced and the option to see a little bit of Bangkok (eat an awesome meal) and get some rest. Any tips/suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Andrew

Same old question for posters asking about hotels - how much do you want to spend per night? Knowing this makes it easier to suggest a place to stay.

I guess "Andrew" means you are a guy. My suggestion is a hotel on or near the Skytrain route. This way you can use the Airport Rail Link if you are flying into or out of Suvarnabhumi.

Swiss Park Hotel. Sukhumvit Road area. Easy and short walk to Nana Skytrain stop. Walk to malls, restaurants, nightlife and street vendors, etc.

Sawasdee Sukhumvit Soi 8. Same Nana Skytrain area. Walk to malls, restaurants, vendors and a few beer bars too for a cheaper beer.

Only one night and part of a morning doesn't give you a lot of time for tourist things. Maybe pick a couple things that interest you and stick with those. Save other tourist things for another trip to Bangkok.

Flying out of Don Muang or out of Suvarnabhumi?

You can check out at this Hotel in Soi 13 http://www.citrus13bangkok.com/ it's between Nana and Asok BTS station in Sukhumvit area. the hotel is clean and have rooftop it's a new Hotel, there's many street foods restaurants near this area and you can walk to Terminal21 there have great cheap Food Court! :D
