Bad experience with facial cream from Lagoon Herbal Garden, near Galle, Sri
Hello, we were visiting the state owned Ayurvedic center "Lagoon Herbal Garden" in Kogala (near Galle in the south) on October 19th, and were buying the 50ml Sandalwood Beauty Cream. When opening it at home we noticed that it did not look like the one they showed us before which was white and creamy.Ours looked yellow and somehow broken, obviously old.
Disappointed from the purchase we wrote an email but never received an answer.
If you visit this center please be careful when purchasing items or let them open a sample.

Most of the above mentions marketing gardens are located at Matale and Kandy suburb. That because the climate and environment is good for those kind of plants and herbs.Even those gardens are good only for look and learn about SL spices, but not for buying any products from them that because of too pricey.
Don’t even look at the herbal garden or spice gardens which are located at costal line.
They will misguide you.

Lots of products that are made without chemical emulsifiers and so on will separate in heat and after some time. It's happened to me even when I've bought international cosmetic products in department stores. Of course, the department stores will accept returns but they are operating under a totally different set of circumstances...exorbitant profit for one..Estee Lauder has a much higher markup and budget for returns than an "herbal garden" in Sri Lanka.Just use it on your feet where it won't affect much and chalk it up as one of those experiences..like a fruit you bought that looked great but was not quite ripe..or over-ripe in this case.
And yes, I've been to those "gardens" in Sri Lanka and I had to laugh silently because I had more spices and herbs growing in my own garden than they had in theirs!
