Oktoberfest Tent SeatsSlightly Confused on the reservation process at the tents. I know you can try to find a seat or sit outside, but would like to have a reservation for at least a day or two on this trip inside the tents.
When you make a reservation at a tent you are basically paying the minimum purchase per a person? So for the Hippodrom, it says minimum for an evening (7 to 11PM) is 60E. Which between food and beer it'll hopefully get me a fair bit of food and maybe 3 to 4 beers in the four hours?
If I were to make an afternoon reservation I would have to pay the 30E minimum to reserve my seat and then leave the seat at 6:30PM (time stated on Hippodrom website for reservation period)?
If we wanted to head in at 2 and leave at 10 we'd have to make two reservations?
There are lots of places that say show up by 11 and get in without a reservation - do you still have a minimum you have to pay? Do you have to leave at any given time in those types of seats?

1Keep in mind that you can reserve only complete tables. Thus 8-10 persons. Only some tents have on their galleries also tables seating 6 persons.
This means that your chances to reserve a table on the weekends is close to zero. Regular customers have precedence for the tent owners. This does however not mean that your chances for free seats without a reservation is any better on weekends. This is more than made up for by the higher demand. Arriving around 11am won't work on a Sa or Su. Your best chances without reservation are still the weekdays (keep also in mind that the 3rd Oct. is a public holiday).
