A down or fleece jacket should be sufficient, but the winter wind in Essaouira can be miserable. The desert likely will be cold too, especially at night.21

Yes, I will be taking CTM..Glad to hear that its safe and comfortable...its long hours night bus so,safety are my main concern..and i suppose they will have a few toilet break ? :-) :-)
For desert trip,we will do it once we reach Marrakech,we will be spending ~6 days there..so we will have desert trip in between..

Marocfan ,Yes, I agrree with you ,that sometimes, the killing part is the wind.
So, I think I need those warm clothing...
In my country,we sleep in the aircond ~ 18 ~ 22 degree celcius ( !!!) ,..even the shopping mall are sometiems so so super cold.....but winter wind is all different.ANd yeah,I heard the desert are super cold too...
But i always failed in determine the "warm clothing ". :-(
I went to Athens sometimes ago,and all prepared.In the morning a bit cold that I put my jacket ,but all Canadian in my walking tour just wear beach sandal with short pants and sleeveless t-shirt... LOL !
They are so used to their minus 20 degree winter i think .. :-)
so,to be on safe side, i will bring some jackets..

It is always better to use dirhams to buy anything in Morocco.And 30 euros a day for one person should be more than enough for good food.

Riad in Casa /Fes/Marrakech/3d 2n desert trip - all booked.
Now..I am checking on the detail..
1.I will be taking train from Casa --> Fes - train scheduled checked.
OK, after spent time in Fes,we will be taking night bus from Fes >>> Marrakech.
Now,where is the bus station?Is it near to train station?
We will be staying at Riad Dar El yasmin
***thinking of travel time etc,from Riad to bus station etc..
(plan to buy the bus ticket a day in advance - on the day we arrive in Fes)
2. During our stay in Marrakech, there is one day we allocate for a day trip to Essaouira..
(will buy the CTM bus ticket in advance the day we arrive Marrakech)
Where is the bus station (Marrrakech --> Essaouira ) located?
Is it walking distance from Djemaa El Fna?
we will be staying at Djemaa El Fna Hotel Cecil 2n + El kennaria 1n ( due to room avalibility, we stay in 2 places for different day )
