No more Discovery Pass :(:(Hello,
I'm going to the US on the 27th of December for 2 months. Me and my boyfriend had been planning on getting the discovery pass from greyhound for unlimited travel etc. I was just told last week that they will not be doing the discovery pass as of next year does anyone know of anything similair to it where we pay a fixed price and get unlimited travel?

1Not for buses.
Greyhound is the only nation-wide bus company. If they stop their passes, then there are no passes.
Amtrak (train) has passes. But it's also a more limited system.

3Greyhound is discontinuing the Discovery Pass in favor of a transition to more reserved-seating. Details here
Advance purchase fares on greyhound.com and greyhound.ca provide excellent value compared with the Discovery Pass. The traveler is provided accurate schedule information for Greyhound and other bus companies, and depending on the schedule, can also select an Express route, which offers exciting amenities and the security of a guaranteed seat.

8Here is my standard answer:
There is no set "cheapest airline." We don't have "low cost" airlines like in Europe or Asia--any airline may be the cheapest at any time, dependent on dates, routes, etc.
kayak.com, itamatrix, cheapoair, farecompare, mobissimo, vayama, priceline, expedia, travelocity, orbitz, hotwire, the individual airlines, etc., etc., etc.
Make sure you compare prices like for like (some focus on subtotals, others totals).
It will take a lot of effort on your part.
And don't expect cheap last minute fares. Prices go up as you get close to departure.
And don't get suckered into the "Southwest is cheapest" myth that is repeatedly pushed here. They aren't any cheaper or more expensive on a regular basis than any other airline.
