RAJA AMPAT to dive
Hi, guys!We are planning to dive in Raja Ampat on medium budget (up to $250 per person per day)
and wondering if anyone had a good experience with similar budget?
Where to stay? (we are not exactly in too basic accomodation like chapest homestays, so any advise for decent Isolated (not a concrete box in middle of the city) lodging with easy access to Manta points / the Passage etc)?
And a dive operator with reasonable prices and level of experience?
Any hints highly appreciated!

Hi EereneWe are also planning to do a short sidetrip to Raja Ampat during our long Indonesia-trip next year. Have you heard of the Kri Eco Lodge on the island Kri? If you choose non-limit-diving the price per day is a tiny bit higher than your budget but you can choose a non-diver-package and book 10 (or even 15 dives) it is matching perfectly. Maybe this is an opinion for you? If I remember correctly there are surcharges for certain dive sites but all in all it's ok for me. There are a few liveaboards, which would match your budget. Let me know if you find a good solution ;-).
Kind regards,
Andreni

Have a look at Raja Ampat Dive Resort if you prefer land based diving rather than a liveaboard. I used them earlier this year and had a good experience. Their rates are fairly low for Raja Ampat - they are cheaper than Kri Eco Lodge. You can either stay at their hotel in Waisai or in their resort.http://rajaampatdiveresort.com
