1Better go to CABO SAN LUCAS. It is early in the cruising sailboat season. The Baja Haha group with 54 sailboats is departing Bahia Tortugas this morning. They will arrive in San Lucas next Thursday. Go to the marina. Ask anyone there who looks like a sailor "Where is the cruiser's restaurant"? There you will make contact. Most sailboats travel from San Lucas to Mazatlan by not going to La Paz. They sail east to Cabo Pulmo Baja California then across the gulf of California. If you are very patient you can wait for awhile in La Paz.

4Keep in mind that you don't have to pay extra for a cabin when buying a ferry ticket; there is also basic ”general admission” that gives you full deck access without the private cabin and bed. Sleeping can be tough, but you'll get to the mainland. Not sure if you can keep your bikes with you or not. I've taken the ferry from La Paz several times and always enjoy the journey.

5Yea, what the previous poster said.....wait for the Baja-Haha. Look for the Schooner Patricia Belle, they are, for sure, coming to Mazatlan and will take passengers.

I open this thread, because we have the same issue like Charles.
We're a German cyclist couple who searching a ride from Cabo San Lucas where we are et the moment to the Mexican mainland. To start somewhere on Baja South (like La Paz) will be also good.
I have sailing experience and also a license. Until now it was impossible to find a boat here in the harbor in Cabo. Where are all this travelers?
Thanks for all and best regards
