goa hints/ travelmate

Hey everybody,
I have a flight for the 29.11. from Jakarta to Goa, I have 3 weeks there, so what should I do :)?
(I just want to relax and meet some nice 'crazy' hippie people. I'm really uncomplicated, the only thing I don't like is stress.)
I'm a girl and on my own, so you think it is maybe a little bit dangerous? Is anybody in this time there around?

Have a nice sunny day,
Cheers
Kethe

There'll be crazy enough people but not hippie. Safe enough, certainly as Jakarta. Season starting and try Anjuna-Vagator.

Congrats, Kethe, you have already attracted the first lonely male within 90 minutes of your posting (Mr Nurofen). Please report all such to the moderators of this site as they continue to pester all the single girls and the more lotharios and touts that are removed - then the better.

Anjuna, I suppose was the first significant hippie hangout - North of Panjim and Calangute.

Other genuine traveller-posters are more up-to-date than me, I would suggest the South near Palolem far from the East European package tourists and their more disreputable countrymen. See if you can get a guidebook to help you decide.
No need to book ahead.
You will probably receive ideas form residents and ex-residents who are not seeking to extract money from you.

Still quiet at the moment, mainly domestic tourists, season picks up mid to late November. Palolem stress free but dreary, try Vagator Arambol Asvem instead, no crazies but plenty of idiots, try Chapora.

#4 sounds like good advice.Stay away from Anjuna Calangute, only because you are by your self.

Patnem and Agonda in the south and Arambol in the north.

Hi Kethe,

I am thinking of coming to Goa around the 14th of December and I heard Arambol should be nice. Am also interested in meeting some travelbuddy's. You can send me a private message if you like.

Update, I went to Vagator / Anjuna yesterday, the petrol bunk was packed and the balance has shifted from full domestic to half and foreign, looks like it's going to be a busy season.
