Best places to go in Kashmir
Been in Srinagar for 2 days and have had enough of it. We are taking a day trip to Gulmarg tomorrow, but trying to decide where to go the next day. We want to stay somewhere else for 2 days or so. Just looking for somewhere relaxed or quiet. Does anyone have a preference between Pahalgam or Patnitop? We are hoping to ride horses. Also, would love some good suggestions for accommodation in either places. Hoping to spend 500-700 rupees. (Hot water and clean is a must).... if it can be found for cheaper than my intended price, I'm find with that :).Thanks.

I like Pahalgam. Stayed at the "Beach Resort" (maybe 1 km north of the town center, just off the main road, near the river, look for a sign or two) for about a month a year or so ago. The family was really nice and could arrange anything for you.
