If your meeteeis coming in from outside Schengen, meet him/her/it where they exit customs or where taxis line up, (that way you could smoke a cigarette and keep an eye out.)Its what I did in Madrid. He was later than weee expected.

Sorry,In each terminal are different Information desk. This link gives you an overview. So you choice one and give the information to your friend. http://www.frankfurt-airport.com/content/frankfurt_airport/en/directions/airport_maps1/terminal_1_2.html

Terminal 2 is smaller and more relaxed. Meet you arriving friends at the arrivals area (check which area on the boards) in T2 or upstairs in the food court (mcdonalds). The food court is an open area taking up all of the (compact & open) second floor - take a table next the the escalators to see you friends arrive or a spot at the large windows at the back of the food court watch the activity on the apron while you wait and tell your mates you'll be there. There is a small airtrain link between the terminals that runs continuously. The main transport links are from T1 so you will probably need to back track to T1 is you are travelling onward by rail.

You've not mentioned where you are going when you meet up. If its Frankfurt city I'd say meet up in your accommodation rather than hang about the airport for a minimum of 2 hours.8
second what stevegerms is saying, particularly if you're traveling onward by train. Last time I had to rendezvous with others flying in, we were going further by train and met in the train station. Now that they've added all the new shops and the grocery store, there's plenty to do and it's not so big as to make it hard to find each other.
