Nicaragua travel question

Hey there,
i am contemplating whether to go to Nicaragua or not, i am a very outdoorsy person who loves to hike and explore, i also love the atmosphere of spanish speaking countries, do you think that this would be a good place for me to go? what kind of exploring is their to do?

thanks so much for your time and help, Aidan :)

Ometepe comes to mind...

If you want a lot of nature and adventure, Costa Rica has a lot of National Parks to hike, some overnights, like the most bio diverse park on the planet, Corcovado. Guatemala also has a lot of volcanoes and hikes between villages/overnights.

Agree with #1.....I liked Nicaragua a lot,but more for the people and the cultural things...though there is some very good volcano trekking on Ometepe for example.

CR.Panama and Guatemala probably had more nature and hiking opportunities, from what I saw.

Honduras, Belize, and Guatemala are a good combination. How long you got?
