Ngapali beach is safe

For those who are unsure about going to Ngapali because of reports of unrest. I just came back from Ngapali beach where I stayed for 4 nights. Everything is peaceful. The unrest is in another part of the state. While some tourists are staying away, those who are there are enjoying more of the beach to themselves.

Even though Ngapali didn't have a problem there was a limit on vehicles traveling after dark a few weeks ago. did you notice if this was still the case when you were there?

Whats your budget? When next month, High Season is Dec 15 forward, rates go way up.

Did you check Trip Advisor or read the LP Guidebook?

A nice old school place is Silver Beach...

What's your budget?
I passed by a new hotel (half-complete) selling rooms for US$40. the name is Arakan Land Hotel (somewhere between Bayview and Thande Beach hotels)

FYI. I booked accommodation 1 week before arrival through a travel agent in Yangon - no problem.

Silver Beach Hotel is on a nice stretch of beach (no rocks), at the end or start of the beach, next door to Bayview. Silver Beach and Bayview are located close to eating places on the roadside, among the rest on the beach. so more eating choices. cant go wrong with either of the places.

I stayed at Thande Beach - lovely place and nicer villas compared to Bayview but I wished it was in Bayview's location.

They must have moved the rocks since last year as there are rocks either side of Silver Beach and Bayview. The main rock free beach is South from where the road runs along the beach to down well beyond Amata, and includes the frontage of Aureum and Sandoway

Thanks for the replies. My budget is around the US$50. I really would like to spend less if possible but I know Ngapali can be pricey and I am going in high season. I have reached out to several places and so far they are all booked. Does anyone know of any other beaches that are just as nice as Ngapali Beach? Thanks
