The food festival in Stavanger is much better and bigger, http://www.regionstavanger.com/en/WHATS-ON/Festivals/?TLp=444409&Gladmat-2013=But Bergen is a very beautiful town.

I wouldn't say the food festival alone is any reason to visit Bergen ...But there are lots of other good reasons though :)
