How to get from Managua to San juan del sur?
In January I'm landing in Managua, but I don't want to stay there, I wan to go directly to San juan del sur. Does anyone know a cheap way to get there? Do they have buses from the airport or something? Thanks!

Ok, but I heard that taxis could be dangerous, is that true? And is he bus stop far from the airport? Are there a lot of buses doing that trip to Rivas?3
I would take a taxi right from the airport because they will show you the official taxis there. I personally hate going the opposite direction into Managua just to get a bus to go back the same way. If you possibly can, get a taxi all the way to Granada. It costs $35US but it is worth it for the hour long ride plus it gets you out of Managua fast and you will be going in the right direction right from the get-go. From Granada take the chicken bus at the market to Rivas for a few good laughs! From Rivas we took a taxi to SJDS but there are buses onward to SJDS. Have Fun!5
look up Adelante shuttle. depending on your flight arrival time they have scheduled pick up times from the airport directly to San Juan del sur. Easiest way to get there in the shortest time.6
You are most likely landing late at night, and a bus from Rivas won't be available at night to go to SJDS or after 6:00 pm, so watch out. You could always go to Granada for the night, The Coci Bolca is $16.00, and clean. or get a place in San Jorge or Rivas. The Hotel California in San Jorge is $25.00 per nght. I use a local taxi driver Woscar 8550-6403 to go to Granada. He speaks English, or if you speak spanish call Wilmer 8480-1646. Both of these guys will meet you anytime at the airport. Wilmer is cheaper.7
I'm currently on Ometepe, and got to Rivas via a bus from the Huembe station. The bus was actually a real bus, not a school bus, and pretty comfortable. I got there as it was about to leave, and had to stand for about 30 minutes before a seat opened up. The bus was yellow and labeled "San Jose Transport". Fare to Rivas was a whole $2.
