I was towing my 17-ft travel trailer, so I did not attempt to park downtown. I am not sure that there is a city bus for Taos because it is such a small village. Its grocery stores/supermarkets and the Wal-Mart are just outside of the downtown area that has so many small shops and restaurants and cafes and inns. That is where a bicycle would come in handy. Taos is like a miniature downtown Santa Fe and even has its own La Fonda Hotel on its Plaza plus many shops selling Indian crafts and art. I did park at their middle school, since it was a weekend, to stretch my legs and walk my dog. The Taos Ski Valley is about 10 miles further north and the last descent was too steep for me to have towed my trailer back up out of the canyon/valley. My Jeep does not have a V-8 engine for pulling. The celebrity ranchettes are not in the valley, but probably much closer to Taos.
