ROAD TRIP MEXICO TO BOLIVIA/CHILE (possibly Argentina) 2013 - tips/buddies?

ROAD TRIP MEXICO TO BOLIVIA/CHILE (possibly Argentina) 2013 - tips/buddies?

Hey guys,

Planning on hitting up Mexico in January (2013) and see if i can't snag myself a VW camper van to head south on a voyage of self discovery... If anyone has any helpful info they can provide (i.e. crossing from Panama to Colombia / documentation needed to be driving legally) it would be much appreciated. Also if anybody is interested in tagging along or meeting me whilst i'm out there you're welcome to :)

I plan on starting in Cancun, mid-late January. I might be persuaded to go part of the way.

I am not sure if we can meet in the Middle... My friend and I are planning a trip early Feb from Panama City up to Guatemala... :)

We will do it for photography and for me personally, soul-searching... :)

You can PM me. I've done the route from cancun to Belize twice. this time i was thinking of swinging over to Palenque first, then Flores, then maybe el Salvador. Havent made up my mind.

Make sure the VW Camper van you buy, or any camper, can fit into a container for shipping between Panama and Colombia, it its too high or too wide then you have to ship on open ship and not as safe, theft wise, as it sits in customs/docks/holding....
