another thought - how about New York? Why's nobody suggesting that - I thought its a wonderful city. Is it because it won't be worth it in the winters?16
I think this thread has gone off the rails due to the mention of beaches. Travel from Southeast Asia to the U.S. for its beaches makes little sense to me anytime, much less so in winter. You're going to have warm clothes and we have heated interiors. So yeah, NY.C and NewOrleans are both better options IMHO than Fla. Or L.A as was suggested at the start, and I'll add D.C and SanFrancisco. But do strive to avoid travelling at Thanksgiving peak times. You'ra already arriving on the heaviest travel day of the year, Nov. 21 (day before Txgiving). Avoid the Sunday following (Nov. 25). And pick just one city or small region.ADVERTISEMENT
