First trip to Japan
Hi I am making my first trip to Japan next year in early march for two weeks, and I'm looking for ideas. My partner and I are theme park junkies and definitely want to go to Disneyland, nagoshima spa land, and possibly universal studio's in Osaka. We also would like to visit mt fuji and Hiroshima. Ideally we are thinking of flying into tokyo and out of Osaka, or vice vera. I'm also interested in knowing of any great places for photography. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks :D1
My idea is that you buy a guide book and start reading or visit some web sites: http://www.jnto.go.jp/ or http://www.japantravelinfo.com/top/index.php. Youtube also has some nice movies about tourism in Japan. After that make an itinerary based on your interests and post that itinerary here and tell us what you want to see and experience.
www.hyperdia.com tells about the train time tables and prices. Do some reading about the rail passes: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2361.html
Flying into Tokyo and leaving from Osaka can save money and time so that is a good idea.

For theme park reviews, check out http://www.themeparkreview.com/japan2004/japanguide1.htm.Check out the newly renovated Sega Joyopolis at Tokyo's Odiaba island. The new Halfpipe ride is really cool. Get there right when it opens (I think 10:00) to avoid the rush.
Also in Odiaba and worth a visit:
Toyota showroom (Toyota MegaWeb)
The Gundam statue and Gundam Front mini theme park at the Divers City Shopping mall (Very nice new Mall on Odiaba).
