Utila for non divers?
Hi,Does anyone know if it's worthwhile going to Utila if you're not going to dive? My original plans for Honduras were Copan, Utila (via La Ceiba) for a diving course, and then making my way down to Nicuragua. Unfortunately I found out that I should avoid scuba diving for medical reasons, so I might need to change my plans.
Is there much else to do on the bay islands for non-divers (I wouldn't mind snorkelling) or should I skip Utila altogether?
I would also love any recommendations of other 'must see' places in Honduras, I'm also travelling alone, so I'm looking for friendly hostels and such as well :)
Thanks!

I enjoyed every one of my 5 days in Utila, though I dived only thrice. I walked around, kayaked (free if staying at Alton's) and hung out at Alton's, a stimulating place. They got everything you need there, not to mention a captive breeding conch corral.Alternatively, you could hit Sambo Creek, where you can stay at Hotel Centroturistico, that has a fine bar and restaurant on a deck overlooking the beach. Every morning there are boats going to Cayos Cochinos. Most people do it as a day trip, but I met some dudes who stayed there several nights. Sambo is about a half hour bus ride east of La Ceiba. Tell Mauricio Eddy sent you.
I stayed 3 nights at Omega Lodge last January. Look that up. It suited me.
D&D Brewery, 1.5 hr S of San Pedro, I highly recommend (as long as you dont partake of their fruited-up beer).
