22 Hr layover on New Years Eve

Hi all,

My wife and I will have a 22 hr layover in Heathrow on the 31st of December beginning at 11:30 am until our flight leaves at 9:30 am on New Years day. We'd like to take the opportunity to enjoy some NYE festivities and have read that the tube runs into the wee hours on that night. Our plan is to get to one of the nearby airport hotels ASAP, grab a few hrs sleep then head out on the town to enjoy the evening. My question is whether the late running tube will go all the way out to Heathrow if we are out till 2 or 3 am?

Thanks in advance for any help.
Chris

Great, thanks for the info.

I will check the site for confirmation when we get closer to the date. I'm thinking one of the party cruises on the Thames might be a good way to see it all in relative inebriated comfort with a loo close at hand. In regards to the cold, no worries...we're Canadian, so minus 20 is the norm on Jan 1.

Thanks again.

Oh - you're well used to it then.
My mistake.... It'll be warm :-)

I've done Northern Manitoba in February.... now 'That' was cold ! !
Have a great trip.

Heh. I'm going to be in London around the same time but coming from Egypt. So it will definitely be cold. And all my warm clothes are in another country again!

Good (not ! !) forward planning :-)

First time I went to Manitoba in February, I wasn't expecting what I found. So unprepared.

Heh. My planning didn't involve going to London! But sometimes other people end up making the plans for you...
