Heathrow- top up t-mobile phone

Is there a place at Heathrow where I could get a top up on a t-mobile phone? The phone has a UK sim card but I cannot seem to do a top up on line from Canada.

thanks

I cannot register due to the fact that I am NOT a UK resident and I do not have a UK credit card.

Try popping into one of the WH Smiths and asking for a top up card in there.

How come you have a UK mobile sim card? Has it been given to you by someone who has already used it here? In which case, it probably is already registered to him/her. You should still be able to top it up once you arrive at Heathrow and try what fwoggie says, in WH Smiths.

If that doesn't work, find the nearerst T mobile shop to where you are staying and they will be able to help.

Forgot to say that some sim cards have a shelf life of 6 months if they haven't been used at all in that time. My very elderly mother has a T mobile pay as you go sim, which she only has for emergencies but she has to remember to use it every so often or it will expire. If you were given this by someone who used it here on a trip, you might find that it ceases to function and you will have to buy your own.

Yeah - cards like GiffGaff can be bought in stores. Just one example.
Try many London independent newsagents too. They have a multitude of sims to choose from.

no need to register and you can top up anywhere that sells topups - Smiths certainly will. Just ask for a voucher, then dial 150 (I think) and follow the instructions, typing in the voucher code number.

btw T-mobile PAYG is incredibly expensive.

Glad to get a second on that one.
Just not sure if it'd let you register one of its sims in The UK, without all the necessary gubbins etc.

Some UK sim providers only accept UK residents.
I'm not suggesting all of them follow this rule, but Vodaphone certainly do.
