DiwaliIs a festival of family first and lights second. Goa is mostly Christian but these festivals spill over. Generally join a Hindu family gathering or the general lighting and fireworks of big cities.

Wherever you are in India there will be Diwali celebrations " not set up for tourists". As said its mainly a family event.5
I`ve been in Goa for Diwali in several years, and never saw anything "exciting". As said above, it`s mostly a family thing. That said...and should we book ahead for accommodation?
They have BIG families... Book ahead.
