Zdiar - high tatras in mid AprilHi all,
thinking about going to Zdiar for a few days in mid April, but I have a question, now I know the weather has a mind of it's own, but is it typical for there still to be loads of snow around Zdiar still at this time? I'm actually wanting more to go wandering around with a camera taking pics, than skiinig.
Also, what sort of costs can I expect in terms of food and drink...I mean an average restaurant meal and a few beers.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

1At that time of year there will still be lots of snow up in the mountains, and possibly still some on the ground in Zdiar if it's been a cold winter. If your goal is to walk around the village and take pictures of the wooden folk cottages and the mountains in the distance you'll be able to do that, but the hiking trails that lead up into the mountains will still be closed. Zdiar is quite a small place, but there are a couple of restaurants serving traditional food and one pizzeria. Compared to what you will pay in Holland for a restaurant meal, everything will seem very inexpensive.
