Work and Travel, Toronto;Ontario. via Working Holiday Visa
Hello everyone,I’m planning to Travel to Toronto, Ontario in March 2013. I want to apply for the Working Holiday Visa that allows you to work and travel through Canada for 12 months.
But the official Homepage is not open for accepting applications yet, and according to a friend of mine, she said it might take till April until they are open again.
So this would be too late if this would be the case.
So I was wondering, would it also be possible to fly to Canada as a tourist, and apply for everything from there?
Visa, Work Permit, SIN?
Anyone knows the answer to this? I’d appreciate it.

Where are you from explo?Im assuming the UK, Visa applications should be open be open on January 1st 2013 all being well..
So you should be able to get it all sorted i good time.
But if for whatever reason they don't offer them on jan 1st. You can enter on a tourist and then do a quick dash to the US border to activate your visa when it arrives..

Dont waste your time in Toronto, if you want to see Canada for its best, visit the west coast, way more things to see and do. Toronto is a huge city, but see it, see niagra, then split. Get a job in Whistler for ski season or Banff for summer, the rocky mtns are AMAZING!!!!!Not sure on if they would let you in without a visa? but if they do and then your visa does come through, then just pop down to niagra the usa side and back up an they will process it then. Done it before, its fine.

Hello Rideon,Actually no, I am from Spain. On the official Homepage for Spanish Citizens, it says that it will be open for applicants in the Fall of 2012.

But if it is the same for Spain like for the UK, as you say the 1st of January… How long is then actually the process time till you have the Visa?
And I don’t really understand what you meant with dashing over to the US border to activate my visa..
