Panama next week

Hello.
Anyone in Panama next week? I'm setting off on a solo adventure, at least for the first couple of weeks until my friend flies out to join me in Costa Rica. Below is my plan:
27 oct - 30 oct Panama City
30 oct - 2 nov Boquete
2 nov - 5 nov Bocas del Toro
5 nov - 9 nov Puerto Viejo
If anyone will be there or has any tips (i've already booked my accomadation but not activities yet) then i'd be happy to hear from you :-)
Happy and safe travels to all.
Sarah

Sarah, sarah! I hope you allocated time for a canal trip on the Pacific Queen (via panamatravelunlimited).

Aww...just realized that you said you'd already booked accommodations. Where are you staying in each of these three places - will try to help you find something to do that is close to all three.

I am in Panama City - there have been thunderstorms here in the last few days - part of the weather pattern that is now hurricane Sandy. I guess they will fade as Sandy moves north.

Thanks for the replies :) In Panama im at the Hilton Garden Inn, Boquete at Pension Topas, Bocas del Toro at Lulu's, and Puerto Viejo at Hotel Pura Vida. No plans yet what to do but im quite independant and will go with the flow when im there :-D.
Not liking the thunderstorms haha, hoping to get a bit of a tan.
Well if anyone is in any of these places maybe see you there.
Thanks again

The weather was PERFECT for us in Bocas last week. The weather forecast always said rain and it never really rained. Don't worry!
In Bocas, please go to Raw Sushi for dinner (not just sushi) as the food was great and so was the owner. Order the sweet and spicy chicken ($10)... so good!
Also, take a $1 taxi to Guari Guari for the meal of a lifetime! $23 for 6 courses and you will not regret it! You must make reservations.
Also make sure you to go starfish beach. Take a taxi (or the bus) to Boca Del Drago (did I get that right?) and then walk the 15 minutes along the beach to starfish beach. Don't bother taking the water taxi, the walk is too nice!
Enjoy!

Be careful - I hear that there was rioting and looting in the Avenida Central today. Police action, and all the city buses have been disrupted, apparently.

Just looked to see where you are staying in Panama City - there's a lot of places to eat round there. One of my favourites is the Machu Picchu about 5 minutes walk, but there are alos several good places right on the corner.

I noticed this posted on another forum - "looting in Bella Vista in Plaza Concordia across from El Rey on via España and robbing tourists and women at the bus stop there on via España. Destroyed the restaurant in Hotel Bella Vista and vandalized laundromats, businesses, and other places near la Universidad Interamericana too."

Hey Sarah, was just in Boquete ...if you have a chance to go rafting it's really fun after all the recent rain. In Bocas now, the snorkeling is absolutely amazing...if you can hire a guide or hook up with a group it can save a bit of $...will be here through Wed so looks like I'll miss you but if anything else comes up that's not to be missed I'll re-post...

Saludos!
Suzanne

I second #6!!! RAW SUSHI in Bocas is a MUST!!! Never in all of my travels have a bit into a sushi roll and tasted every single individual flavor of every fresh ingredient! The BEST I have EVER had ANY-where!
