Planning a trip from Munich to Prague and Budapest but have no idea how to!
HiI am trying to plan a trip from Munich to Prague and Budapest from South Africa however this is an absolute nightmare as we don't really have a train system in SA and this is completely foreign to me. The difficult part is the trip will fall over christmas and New year and i am not too sure when the trains or even busses (as that is the cheaper alternative I'm looking at) work during those times. Also where do I start. I have researched the possibilities but to be honest it is quite daunting. There are so many sites and terminology that i'm to dead scared to book anything!
I want to go from Munich on the 26 of December to Prague, then from Prague to Budapest on the 29th. And then fly back from Budapest to Munich on the 31st and leaving that eve back to SA.
How would someone in Germany or familiar with the trains and busses go about it? I would prefer the cheapest option as the Rand unfortunately do not stand a chance against the Euro.

The web of the DB bahn will show all the train schedules you need. You can book your ticket from Munich to Prague in the same web. In order to purchase the leg from Prague to Budapest, you have to make it in the web of the Czech Railways. The web of the Czech Railways doesn't allow you yet to book at ticket on your travel dates because they didn't uploaded yet the schedule after Dec. 8th but you can already consult the schedule on your travel dates in the web of the DB Bahn I linked above. You'll have to wait till it's uploaded in the web of the Czech Railways in order to book a ticket though.
