Another Spanish Mendoza question

Another Spanish Mendoza questionI know this subject has been covered alot and trust me I have read through posts for hours. I want to do spanish lessons in Mendoza and have equired about lessons with Ana Maria Troncoso after reading all the rave reviews, The problem is the price at US$360 for 20 hours 1 to 1 lessons. If you pay in pesos you have to pay the black market rate of 6 pesos to 1 dollar.
I am a complete beginner and just want to learn a bit to get by in south america. I will only have 2 weeks in Mendoza. So my question is, is it worth it? Should I just do a small group one or can I get private tution cheaper elsewhere.
I know it is a buyers marker after reading many replies from mendocinateacher, seriously don't know how you reply to so many of the same question.
The 2 big schools there Intercultural and Green Fields seem to be critized for being party places with not much organisation, so I think private tution may be the way to go but was hoping it would be cheaper than the above.
