So I´ve decided to drive from Madrid to Barcelona making stops in a few cities. If I can get advise on my itinerary I´de appreciate it very much since I only have a week to see the best of each place. here it is:
nov 5th: Madrid - Toledo arriving as early as possible to see the main attractions and wander arround for a bit to see the san juan monastery, consuegra, and the galiana palace, probably get lunch and then drive to Aranjuez for a quick drive around the city and head off to Albacete. the goal is to make it to Alicante. Would this be a lot for one day????
nov 6th: climb de Penyal D´lfach hill, visit guadalest valley, go to santa barbara casttle and visit some of the beaches around Alicante to head off to Valencia.
Nov 7th: In Valencia go to the central market for breakfast, visit de Marques palace, Casco antiguo, Torres serranos and quart towers and maybe spend the night if its worth it?
Nov 8th Arrive to Barcelona and stay there until sunday. Would it be too long to stay in Barcelona for 4 days? I will be flying to Madrid on sunday afternoon. Then head for Salamanca to hop into Portugal where I have friends waiting....
Any advise on must sees through the drive itinerary will help.
=)

It seems you have a checklist and a tight schedule to say you've been at all the places in your checklist... It doesn't make much sense for me. I'm still wondering what's the point of going to Toledo to see only 2 sights (Consuegra is a town in Toledo province; it isn't a sight in the City of Toledo), of making a drive trough Aranjuez (i.e.: of visiting a town through the window of your car)...3
Guys thank you for concerning about my trip....The sites I posted are the "must see" that I found in trip advisor more than a "check list" of places to go....I do not have much time to visit eastern spain so I´m rushing a bit to get to Barcelona and Ibiza which are my goal destinations....the other cities are just on the way so why not stop at some of the best sites of each city....
I have the rest of the year to "relax" back home so no I´m not planning on relaxing during my trip since time is short and precious, I rather see as much as I can....don´t mind driving and sleeping 5 hours to see it all.
if I want a relaxing trip I´d go to a nice beach and forget about the world....
Thanks anyways I was expecting more info on the places I mentioned instead I got lectured on how to plan my trip?

the other cities are just on the way so why not stop at some of the best sites of each city....None of the cities and towns you quoted is just on the way between Madrid and Barcelona. All of them involve a detour from the most straight route from Madrid and Barcelona. Madrid-Toledo-Alicante-Valencia-Barcelona means more than 400 kms more than the straight route Madrid-Barcelona. Cities and towns just on the way would be, for example, Calatayud, Zaragoza, Lleida...
I was expecting more info on the places I mentioned
Not sure what more info about the places you mentioned you are looking for. I assume if you choosed those cities and towns and those specific attractions in each of then, it'll be a reason for that; i.e.: it'll be a reason why the Galiana Palace seems more attractive to you than, let's say, Toledo's Cathedral and it'll be a reason why you choosed to visit Alicante, Calpe and Guadalest instead of, let's say, Cuenca and/or Teruel. What specific info about the Galiana Palace (or any other of the attractions/sights you quoted) do you want? What more info do you want about Toledo (or any other of the cities and towns you quoted)? Info about food? History? Religious subjects?...
instead I got lectured on how to plan my trip?
You said: If I can get advise on my itinerary I´de appreciate it very much. I think the advise in my post #2 is clear: slow down, don't rush it, visit more attractions in Toledo (all the old town is in the UNESCO World Heritage List; i.e. there's plenty to visit and enjoy)...
As you wrote in #3: The sites I posted are the "must see" that I found in trip advisor, I'll add another piece of advise, go to places that could be a must see for you (according to your interests and preferences) not for other people/any of us (who can have different interests and preferences than yours).
