Belo Horizonte 11 PM Arrival. Good idea for Brazil newbie?
Our family of 4 (kids 10,12) are looking at an 11 pm arrival at the airport in Belo Horizonte. We will be new to Brazil. Is this a good idea? Will it be safe to take a taxi straight to our hotel at that time?Thanks,

Yes... the baddest thing that can happen is the taxi driver make a longer route, to make you pay more.Don´t worry. Brazil has violence issues but is certainly not as bad as you think.

Just be careful of the curfew or the snipers that line the route in from the airport. I wouldn't worry too much about the mortar fire or IEDs, there's not much you can do about that anyway.Oh sorry, you mean Belo Horizonte in Brazil? I thought you were talking about Afghanistan.
