Tour of Caravanserai--anybody knows any?Hello, everyone,
I'll be in Cappadocia in mid-December and I'm very interested in Caravanserais. Does anyone know of any tour that can be taken to visit these places?

2The best way would be to rent a car for the day, because a private tour would be expensive (100 euros per person, minimum 2 people?). Or maybe hire a taxi for the the day (probably cheaper than a tour).
I guess that Sultanhan and Ağzıkarahan could be done as a day trip by public transport.
Karatayhan is a nice one, but quite a long way to the east, beyond Kayseri.
Here's a good website about them - http://www.turkishhan.org/visiting.htm

4The one in Kayseri is home to a number of businesses, where you can get a hat or a kilim, among other things. It's near the bazaar and is well worth a visit.

5DaveT said "The one in Kayseri is home to a number of businesses". I had to look it up. The Bedestan Han was built in 1497 and the Vezir Han in 1727. When I think of hans I'm really talking about the Seljuk era ones - although those ones look interesting too.
There is also some very nice Seljuk architecture in Kayseri, the entrance to the Sahibiye Medrese looks amazing - http://romeartlover.tripod.com/Kayseri2.html

6Thank you DaveT and DavidM1. I looked them up! These buildings are fascinating! Seems like I have a lot of homework for the weekend. I'll try to figure out an itinerary, but unfortunately, I'll only have one day for the hans... so I might try to hire a cab. Hopefully I'll come back in the future and do Iran and Turkey (not in the winter)... and feast on Caravanserais. Thank you all again!
