travelling by bus and car in Guyana and suriname
Hi: I want to take a bus from Georgetown, Guyana to the Suriname border; then a bus to Prado in Suriname; I want to rent a car in Prado and explore Suriname; anybody done this; is it feasible and safe? thanks.1
Not sure why no one has got back to you on this. I'm afraid I can't help you with Suriname. But you can travel around the coast of Guyana by using the minibuses. I'm not sure what you mean by 'is it safe', but these minibuses do go at beakneck speed and I personally don't like riding in them! You can also get a taxi to rosignal (where you need to cross the berbice river before your next bit of journey) for not too much. Then you need to get on round to Corriverton where you can get a ferry across the river to South Drain in Suriname. Definitely doable.Hopefully someone with more knowledge will post for you too.
