Two weeks solo travel in Mongolia
Hey allI am a 42 year old photographer planning to spend two weeks in Mongolia in the beginning of August. I would like to see some stunning views and more importantly I would like to meet and photograph Nomads preferably with traditional clothing. Does anyone have any advice on where to go and places to stay? I have thought of GERTOGER but I have no come across some negative reports, I also find it difficult to make out there prices in the web site. They quote a Community Fee, but surely this is not all? I would really appreciate any feedback from people who have been there. Is it better to just take public transport and arrange trips from the different towns?
Any help and info is appreciated.
Spencer

Hi Spencer (and Gareth)I'm heading for Mongolia for three weeks in March... I'll try to remember to report back to you..
GERTOGER would also be my best bet... Alternatively will some of the travel agencies in UB be able to help you out...
Other good shoots would be the abandoned Soviet cities and military bases around UB... And if you make it all the way to Ölgii in the west, they are famous for Eagle Hunters (that's hunters with eagles, not after eagles)...
