Hi,
Are we biting off more than we can chew by taking a campervan from Sydney to Cairns in 10 days. Will be in Australia in mid December, trying to cram in as much as possible - Brisbane, Great Barrier Reef and some national parks along the way. Any advice on where to go or campsites to stay will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
JP

It'll be a full on trip, especially in a campervan. Gold Coast to Cairns was long enough in a car with only an overnight stop. 23hrs of driving.3
As previous poster have said it is a rush. Agree with Koalas that your best bet is to pick a couple of place to visit. In terms of camp-sites any town will have a caravan park/camp-ground and google will easily find them for you.My suggestion would be either allocate more time, or consider flying instead so that you don't spend the whole time driving (it is a long way!)

Ten days is too tight in my opinion. I've done this trip (and I've blogged about the itinerary here http://campervanhq.com/campervan-itinerary-sydney-to-cairns-14-day-trip/) and you'd need a minimum of 14 days to really enjoy it. In ten days you'll need about 4 hours a day driving. For me that's too much but maybe your ok with that. One option is to do Sydney to Brisbane and then fly up to Cairns and do Far North Queensland from there. The drive between Brisbane and Cairns is the dullest part of the journey so you'd skip right to the good parts.
