Lima to Santiago
Hi,I am flying into Lima on the 31st October and then on to Cusco for the Salkantay trail until Nov 10 then making my way down through Peru, Bolivia, Chile and was meant to be meeting my girlfriend in Santiago on the 8th December before continuing on through Chile, Argentina before ending up in Brazil and flying out of Rio on January 26.
However her work now wont let her come until December 23, we cant change the flight route only the date so she is still meeting me in Santiago but now on Dec 23. So my question is with 2 extra unplanned weeks what should I do? Some thoughts were
Use the extra 2 weeks to fly back up to Iquitos and do Amazon trip. (is it worth going all that way back up vs Puerto Maldonado)
Huaraz, would it be worth going backwards on myself to some trekking up there in November ie weather
Take extra time and see more of Coastal Peru
See the Pantanal from Bolivia
My next problem is we now have extremely limited time for the second half of the trip, where we had hoped to go as far south as Tiera del Fuego maybe Ushuaia before heading up to Buenos Aires then Igaussu Falls and on To Brazil.
I had hoped to maybe do the W circuit in the Torres del Paine, doubt I will have time for that now in the original itinerary , would it be worth my while going that far south doing a trek and then making my way back up to meet Girlfriend in Santiago? or should I spend that extra time in Peru and Bolivia?
Any advice would be appreciated.

You are underestimating the time it takes to travel South America. You've only got 6 weeks to see southern Peru, Bolivia and northern Chile. That's barely enough, I certainly wouldn't recommend trying to squeeze more in.Southern Patagonia is awesome, but yes it's a long way. It's hard to say whether it would be worth it for you or not.

HelloI will recommend to you do Puerto Maldona it is nice Aera odf Rainforest close similar like Iquitos but it is not worth if you Travel to Iquitos Because it Is also Rianforest in General as Tambopata
..
In mi Opinion it is better stay long in Peru and Bolivia
in case if you want travel to Huaraz you should take a Tour with a Private Guide you can no do alone ....Because this Area is dangerouns to climb Big Peaks alone it is Worth if you pay a tour and if you spend as minimo for a trek to the Mountain and peaks as minimmun for 7 days and maximo 13 days depend of what do you want to visit ......
i hope this heping to you !!!!
have a great Time !!!!!!
