babymoon in Nov (22 weeks pregnant) - where to go
Hello,I am looking for suggestions on where to go for a holiday before our little one arrives in March. I need to take about 3 weeks off, so we are thinking Nov, when I am 22 weeks preggies is a good time. We normally take a holiday every fall...
We are looking for ideas for someplace warm/sunny with nice beaches. Not too expensive. Normally we do scuba diving trips but obviously that is out now, but somewhere that has good snorkeling would be good.
We are thinking of Thailand. The only thing is we have been to Thailand twice before. So not sure if we should find somewhere new.
Thanks!!

Ideas:Hawaii - beachy, can be off the beaten path if you go to Kauai or Big Island
Mexico - only been to PV area, Sayulita and Yelapa, San Blas
Japan - although I know it is neither warm or beachy esp in November, it was a great place to have a babymoon.
Possibly Southern California or Florida? Maybe not far-flung enough?
Enjoy and congrats!

Hi,I'd recommend Malaysia (Langkawi has fantastic beaches, but not too busy... and good snorkelling) and the shopping is great in KL! Alternatively Sri Lanka recently took over from Thailand in our all-time favourite destination. Beaches, highlands, people and food being highlights! We have a trip report (tips mostly) on our blog: www.gopofandt.com which you might find handy if you're looking at Sri Lanka as a possibility.
You could also look at Vietnam (3 weeks is about right - there's a lot to see there) and even a side trip to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat. Like Thailand, the food is fabulous and the people are lovely.
Happy planning and congratulations!

Thailand is a nice option, but if you need somewhere new: Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka. All have good/decent infrastructure and nice beaches. I went to Malaysia when 6 months pregnant, got sick (food poisoning) so can state that medical care is good.4
Another vote for Vietnam...or maybe New Zealand.
