Burkina Faso - Late December through early Janaury

Hello!
I'll be traveling through Burkina Faso from late December 2012 - early January 2012. I'll be traveling alone and would love to find someone to join me on part of my trip (for company and to save some money:) Below is my Burkina Faso schedule. Let me know if you're interested in joining me for part of my tour!

Saturday December 29th - December 31st; Starting in Bobo Dioulasso, I've arranged to have a car/driver for 3 days. On the 29th, travel to Banfora - stopping in Koro/ Mare aus Poissons Sacres and spending the night in Banfora. On the 30th, travel to Niansogoni stopping at Karfiguela Waterfalls, the Domes de Fabedougou and Sindou on the way. On the 31st, spend the morning in Niansogoni and then head back to Bobo Dioulasso. The total cost for car and driver for 3 days is approx. 289 Euros (plus food/hotel and entrance fees). The car will easily hold 2 more people if you're interested!!

New Year's Eve in Bobo Dioulasso - I'd love to have someone to hang out with! Let me know if you're in the same position!

Friday January 4th-Saturday January 5th; I've booked a car/driver and plan on visiting Tiebele and Ranch de Nazinga - spending the night on the ranch and doing a sunset and sunrise game drive. The total cost for the car/driver is 140 Euros plus fuel. Again, there are extra seats in the car - so let me know if you're interested!

I'll be in Ouagadougou on December 26th, 27th, and January 3rd and 5th.
I'm also planning on stopping in Koudougou on January 2nd.

I'm open to ideas and suggestions! After Burkina Faso, I'll be headed to Benin for National Voodoo Day, then onto Togo and Ghana. I'll post later about my plans, but feel free to let me know your plans there as well. Safe travels,
Gary

Kira,
If you have any suggestions, I'm happy to try them out. I thought the price was reasonable (Lonely Planet says a 4x4 and driver cost about 55,000CFA/day plus fuel. Both drivers I found were cheaper. Any names/companies you know that are cheaper?

Try Maison Azaaba, not sure of their current prices but will get a good tour

Personally I'd do it solo & find drivers locally .. what I've always done & never paid silly money & although some of the roads aren't the best, a 4x4 isn't always necessary!

the 4x4 in Burkina costs usually 45000 FCFA plus petrol, but as Kira says you do not really need a 4WD everytime
Not sure how you are going to stop in Koro on the way from Bobo to Banfora since Koro is on the Ouagadougou road, which is the opposite direction from Banfora?
Sindou, Banfora, Tengrela, all doable without a 4WD
I don't know where Niansogoni is (is that one of the villages after Sindou? Never made it there.
If you want a nice place to hang out on the outskirts of Bobo, check this place

I used to live in Bobo and know plenty of people there, I have some names who can help you get a car/driver, but most are only french speaking

Lisa,
Thank you so much for your help. I've now sorted out the car/driver. Do you have any suggestions for where I should go on New Year's Eve? It would be great to find some great music and maybe a place where expats go. Most of the time, I avoid anything touristy, but on New Year's I'd like to meet some people:) Thanks again for your help!
