well, one might laugh at this question, but I get difficulties to find a direct flight to Khartoum. ( FRK being best departure place for me, but Paris possible or Zurich)
look for an alternative ( maybe Amman, Cairo or any other suggestion) one thing must be clear , I don't want to spend hours (or days ) to reach Khartoum. I found all + 1 day!
any airlines recommendations? any idea of fair price?
As I never been to Sudan yet, and have only 2 weeks to visit ( Meroe being the most reason why I am going to Sudan)
I like few recommendations on "not to miss places)
furthermore, someone told me that Port Sudan isn't worth a visit, but I had only a comment from businessman (not really interested in culture or architecture) question: is Port Sudan really not worthy, what about the coast, then?
Sudan, best interested towns? I meant for culture ,, tradition, architecture etc...
Khartoum: any good suggestion for middle range hotel even upper mid class and idea of price. best location ( north/south/west/east of the town)to spend 3 - 4 nights (if it s worth to stay that long in khartoum)

If Lufthansa Is too expensive, you have more cheaper options (but not direct) with Egyptair, Qatar or Turkish.
There are more options with Air France, KLM, Ethiopian, Kenya, ...
I was using Afriqyiah when I goes there but it's not flying now.
Read the Bradt guide about Sudan, it's the best one for the destination.
