HELP!!!!

I need some major help. My boyfriedn and I are going to Thailand in December. We have already booked our hotels and I was told to not book our flight no more then 2 months in advanced. WELL....we waited and tickets are WAY more expensive now then they were 1-2 months ago. This is our first trip to Asia and his first time out of the country. Any advice on where to find an affordable ticket and should we book now since it appears they are only getting more expensive. ANY advice would be great. Thanks!

You're going to need to tell us which country you're coming from?

Also, pure curiosity, who on earth gave you such bad advice about waiting to buy tickets?? December is one of the busiest months for travel with many people heading out on holidays...

Cheers,

The horrible advice came from researching websites about the best time to purchase tickets. Kicking myself now for not buying when they were affordable.

When in December, the high season kicks in about the 10th. Shouldn't be too expensive before then.

Have you tried kayak? They're pretty cheap.. Also have a look at booking through air china direct.

Our tenative dates are December 22-January 8th. We are flexible a day or two but we need to be in Koh Samui on the 26th. I've checked Kayak, skyscanner, studentuverse, ect. Last month they were around $1300+, now they are $1650+. I know it's high season and it will be more expensive but didnt think prices would go up $300 this month.

Like Adover said, try any of the Chinese airlines.

United Airlines and Air China are your best bets now, you've left it too late.

Positively, LAX is a great hub for Asia. Try China Airlines, Eva Airlines & Malaysia.

Might also be worth looking at flights to Kuala Lumpur too. Could well be cheaper at that time, and you could then get a train to Samui.

No need to swim any more. The Chunnel opened last week. Do try to keep up :)
