Into Phuket out of Bangkok 2.5 weeks

I just booked tickets to Phuket out of Bangkok (dec 13 to jan 1st)

I'm traveling with my wife and baby girl (1.5 years)

I need advice... Thinking of doing Phuket - maybe rent a villa with our own pool and stuff.... Then Ko lanta, kho phi phi, krabi, Bangkok, even thoughts of Malaysia and Cambodia are in there -

I'm looking for an itinerary to get me around in a nice relaxing way and of course catering to the baby's if u know what I mean ....

Family friendly, exciting at times, but on a 100$ per day budget ....

My initial thought was Phuket, Ko lanta (stay at pimali hotel?) and then head down to krabi and bkk for 2nights on the way out....

Any advice? What would u do? Where should I stay?

I'd stay home with a young child. I wouldn't be dragging a todler around 5 or 6 locations during a busy xmas period. If you must get away drive to a nice beach area for a week.

Ko Phuket, Ko Lanta, Ko Phi Phi, and Krabi are all in a fairly small area. Why don't you find one place to stay and do day trips to the others? I would think it would be cheaper, and easier on the toddler as well.

With only 2.5 weeks you don't have time for Malaysia and Cambodia. Stick to 3-4 places in Thailand max.

I believe you will love Ba Kan Tieng beach at Koh Lanta :) , I still can't wait to visit once again! While you in Lanta you can hire boat to visit other islands around there like Koh Rok ,Koh Mook ,Koh Ngai.
- In Phuket have many nice places to visit like Kata Noi beach is nice for swimming , Phuket Fantasea show, Khao rang (View Point) you also can have a nice dinner on top up there 'khao rang breeze restaurant' taste good. Promthep Cape everybody must go for sunset. (=
- Phi Phi stay at Lodalam bay.

Hey Guys,

So there has been a slight change to my plans because we need to go to Cambodia to observe a project and make a donation from our NGO... (Check us out... www.theworldisourvillage.org - still a major work in progress on the website! But 100% of what we receive in donations goes to the project)

Here is our new plan:
Phuket (about 7 days)
Phuket to KUL - 1-2 nights in KUL (cheapest route to get to Cambodia)
KUL to Seim Reap - 2 nights in Seim Reap to see the temples
Seim Reap to Penom Penh with a few nights in Battambang to see the project and meet the staff etc etc
Penh to BKK for 2-3 nights...

Here's what I need help with...

PHUKET for 7 days... What do I do... Where should I stay? Anyone tried staying at a villa for a reasonable price (with a pool?)

Would you advise that when I get to Phuket, I take off right away to Ko Lanta and then back to Phuket to fly to KUL?

Then Bangkok on the way back... after a lot of traveling and a pretty exhaustion trip... I promised my wife a very nice place in Bangkok... I need advice... where should we stay? What hotel (4-5 star)... what area? She loves to shop... street markets, malls, etc...

Any help and advice is greatly appreciated!
