Our Sri Lanka trip - July 2012
For the reference and information for people wanting to visit SL, i am posting my travel itinerary, with the hotels, places visited and approx. cost.Me and my wife did the SL trip in July 2012 for 7N/8D.
7th July - Landed in Colombo. Went to Negombo. Stayed in Rani Beach Hotel.
8th July - Left for Kandy. En-route visited Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Spice Garden and Cultural show. Stayed in The Mansion in Kandy.
9th July - Left for Nuwara Eliya. En-route saw Ramboda waterfalls and Tea estates. Stayed @ The Rock in Nuwara Eliya.
10th July - Left for Yala. En-route visited Rawana Ella and Buduruwagal. Stayed @ Lake View Hotel near Yala.
11th July - Went for Full day safari in Yala National Park. Evening went to Tangalle. Stayed @ Lagoon Paradise Hotel.
12th July - At Hotel and rested.
13th July - Left for Negombo. En-route visited Galle Fort, Madua River Cruise. Stayed @ Paradise Beach Hotel in Negombo.
14th July - Left for home.
The trip cost us around USD 1200(prices might vary according to season and inclusions) for two people.
Ours included, Hotel, food(all meals), transport(ac car), entry charges, guide charges(does not include our flight tickets)

Our tour operator was Kanota Tours, and we were extremely satisfied with their service.

I'm planning another trip to SL, for about 5 weeks in the NY, the last one in 2006.This aint helpful to me either as its most likely an organised tour - hence the daft price - no info on accommodation costs or transport - pity - suppose it could be clumsy spam.
