Flying last leg of a 3 leg Priceline Trip

Hi there,

I bought a RT (USA to Central Asia) ticket through Priceline (crazy itinerary below). Want to know if I can skip legs of it on the return.

More info:

I have already flown OUTGOING
1 UNITED Lax to Newark
2 LUFTHANSA Newark to London
3 BMI London to Bishkek

my RETURN flights for the spring are
4 TURKISH Bishkek to Istanbul
5 LUFTHANSA Istanbul to Munich
6 UNITED Munich to LAX

Since I now live in Africa, I want to know if I can just fly flight 6, skipping flights 4 and 5, making my own way to Munich, and hopping on flight 6.

All my searching on this subject is about skipping legs on a single-airline booking that is not my situation.

Thanks for the info! Obviously I will call United, but first hand stories would be useful. Abrazos.

It seems to me, if its an open dated itinerary, then you should just be able to show up and go!! As you said, if you missed a part of one flight, you'd be done for and the rest would cancel out . Just make sure to pull the tickets out..... I have no idea if the computer reservation will show "Flight Taken...

Good luck...post the answer if you can......

I'd have thought if you miss ;leg 4, they wouldnt know you'd be there for leg 5 so you could strike problems.

Think you might be right westwood. I wouldn't have thought so bc the airlines are all different, but when I login to United to check the booking it lists flights 4 5 AND 6. Looks like they're on to me! :)

I just remember in 1995 on our 2nd trip to Singapore, I hadnt confirmed our flights out of Auckland prior to flying. But when I went to confirm our return in Singapore, Singapore Airlines had no seats for us on the flight we had booked. They said this was because we hadnt confirmed first flight and they had no idea we were even in Singapore. They did manage to get us seats same day of travel but at opposite ends of the plane. Of course, computers and things are so much better these days Theres usually no need to confirm bookings.
Even budget airlines these days show all flights if you log in.

I'm afraid that if you miss flight 4 then you're a no-show and they just cancel flights 5 and 6. You may be able to change the flights though, certainly worth checking.

On a side note - I have to applaud a trip that starts with return flights to Bishkek and somehow ends up in Africa. That's the way it should be.

I'm guessing it is a code sharing ticket you bought. So in fact what you have is a ticket from Bishkek to LAX with Istanbul and Munich being what is referred to as 'hidden cities'. If you Google for that term you will find info on it. Basically, what you will find is that if you skip a flight the remaining flights will be cancelled.

This assumes my guess is right.

Just a quick few words....
Istanbul-Munich with Lufthansa. You should be able to find a fare cheaper. Just a hunch.
