Suggested Budget for Mysore stay.
Hi Guys,i'm heading to Mysore for a month in jan 2013.
I have my accommodation organised, my yoga teacher who is also going has found an apartment near the shala for me to share with another girl for 20000R each or AUD$360 for the month.
So accommodation aside what are the recommendations for daily spend to include food, internet at a local cafe, some shopping and a small amount of sight seeing?
Also any suggestions for local day trips would also be welcome ;p after morning practice i'll have all day to relax but i probably wont have time to go off on short overnight trips as we practice 6 days a week.
Thanks in advance!!!

Yeah, I`d guess it`s the white side of town. Hunt around and you`ll find something in the Rs5000-12000 range.I`m really disappointed that the prices are going so high with the foreigner`s reaction that "well, it`s cheaper than at home". That`s not the point. I`ve had a flat for over 3 years and the rent just got raised to Rs5500/month.

Definitely sounds expensive, that too sharing, the total cost being Rs.40000. This should be an ultra modern flat with 3 or more bedrooms and all amenities in an very very posh gated community. An unlimited usage internet broadband or data card connection starts from Rs.699 upwards, and the consideration for food, utilities etc., in all USD 200 or INR 10000 should be adequate. As for the sight seeing trips, Mysore is such an interesting location that you have amazing places all around. Considering a one way travel time of 2 - 3 hrs( or around 100 kms), you can visit Shravanabelagola, Madikeri(Coorg), Srirangapatna, Kabini, Nagarhole, Bandipur, Wayanad, Shivasamudram Falls, Ranganthittu Sanctuary etc.
